Brew adopts Opera browser

Qualcomm's Brew platform joins hands with opera to be the default browser for all upcoming smartphones.

Qualcomm’s Brew, a renowned name when it comes to mobile interface for phones and feature phones has announced its partnership with Opera, a company which makes mobile web browser.

Now after the announcement Opera will be featured as the default for all new and upcoming smartphone devices based on Brew. It has been adopted by over 70 manufacturers worldwide including HTC, Samsung, INQ and many more.

Unlike Smartphones, Feature phones lack the capacity to render graphic heavy websites in order to keep the prices low. With the inclusion of a smarter browser, Opera with Brew, future devices are expected to be far better in terms of rendering web pages and websites as compared to what it does on the present default internet browser. Opera does that by using a smart technology where web pages is optimized according to the size of the devices screen thus giving better overall experience.

Opera has been available as an optional download for Brew based devices for quite some time now but its inclusion as the default application will provide the next level of Internet readiness to devices.
