BlackBerry’s Indian licensee partner, Optiemus, is long-rumoured to launch two new smartphones in India this year. Dubbed as Blackberry Ghost and Ghost Pro, the phones have subjected to various leaks in the past and the latest one reveals the official name of both the devices.

According to a tweet by a known tipster, Evan Blass, BlackBerry Ghost will be launched in theIndian market as BlackBerry Evolve. Similarly, BlackBerry Ghost Pro is coming to market as BlackBerry Evolve X. Both the smartphones are reported to be announced in the third quarter of 2018.

Previously, the Ghost was reported to sport a 4000mAh battery and it will come loaded with dual rear cameras. The cameras will come loaded low-light enhancements and it will also feature an optical zoom.

The company is also working on a Pro version of the upcoming smartphone. Dubbed as BlackBerry Ghost Pro, the phone’s render was leaked online. On first glance, the Ghost Pro doesn’t appear to be featuring an 18:9 display like what we saw on the original Ghost device. Also to note is the fact that the new Ghost lineup doesn’t seem to be featuring the traditional physical keyboard which BlackBerry has been popular for.

For the unintended, BlackBerry entered into a long-term licensing agreement with Optiemus Infracom Ltd for the production of future BlackBerry Android handsets in India. Under the licensing terms, the company will manufacture, design and sell BlackBerry handsets in neighbouring countries including Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bangladesh as well.
