BlackBerry Evolve to be available in India from October 10

BlackBerry, back in August this year, introduced two new smartphones, the Evolve and Evolve X, in India. At the launch time, there was no specific date of the phone to go on sale, but now, BlackBerry has revealed that its Evolve smartphone will be available for purchase starting from October 10 in the country.

The BlackBerry Evolve smartphone will be available for purchase on the said date from Amazon India. The smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs 24,990. Interestingly, there is no information on when the BlackBerry Evolve X will be available for sale in the country. The phone was earlier meant to go on sale on Amazon by August end.

Recollecting some key specifications, the BlackBerry Evolve comes loaded with a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 Processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. With such kind of specifications, the smartphone does not stand a chance against the likes of Xiaomi Poco F1, Vivo V11 Pro, and more. Even phones like Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 or Realme 2 Pro are well-specced as compared to this phone. Plus, the phones come with a lesser price tag as compared to this one.

For optics, the phone features a dual-camera setup with a combination of 13-megapixel primary sensor and 13-megapixel secondary sensor with auto-focus, dual tone LED flash. For the front, there is a 16-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling.

The BlackBerry Evolve runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and it features security apps like apps like DTEK by BlackBerry, BlackBerry Privacy Shade, BlackBerry Hub-, BlackBerry Password Keeper and many more. The phone is backed by a 4000mAh battery and connectivity option includes USB 2.0 Type-C port, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5 LE and GPS + GLONASS.
