BlackBerry today launched its all new BlackBerry Classic smartphone in India, just three weeks after its international launch. The BlackBerry Classic, priced at Rs 31,990, is scheduled to be available from Snapdeal from today itself and first 1000 customers are stand to get benefits from Yatra.com worth Rs 10,000. Existing BlackBerry Bold users can opt for buy back offer with benefits worth Rs 4,500.
BlackBerry Classic looks quite similar to the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and has a QWERTY keyboard with optical trackpad. It has a 3.5-inch touchscreen display with 720×720 pixels resolution and the display has also Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The handset has BlackBerry OS 10.3.1 and will have features like BlackBerry Assistant for voice commands and BlackBerry Hub to manage all your communications in one place.
It runs on a 1.5GHz Qualcomm MSM8960 dual-core processor, 2 GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, an 8 megapixel rear camera with flash and a 2 megapixel front camera. There is an expandable storage slot that can accomodate a micro SD card of up to 128 GB.
The BlackBerry Classic is fitted with a 2515 mAh battery that claims to offer 17.2 hours of 2G talktime (11.7 hours on 3G). This 3G smartphone has a nano SIM slot (single), Bluetooth 4.0 LE version, WiFi, WiFi Direct, Miracast, DLNA, FM radio, and a host of Sensors – Accelerometer, Magnetometer, Gyroscope, Proximity, Ambient light, and Hall sensor.
