Asus has announced the Android Q Beta programme for its latest flagship smartphone, the Zenfone 6 aka Asus 6Z. The company is currently looking to recruit Beta testers for the latest build.
The company announced this information on its official forum post. The company will be recruiting testers for Android Q Beta for the Zenfone 6 with model number Z630KL. One can go to the forum post and apply for the Beta programme. The brand says in the post that the beta testers will test the latest firmware by FOTA and experience the latest ZenUI features. One will be also authorized to access the restricted board.
The company has revealed the requirement for a Beta Tester. Asus says that one needs to be an active member of ZenTalk and the tester should be willing to provide detailed information including the IMEI, Serial Number, Current Firmware for the beta test settings.
Beta testers will require to participate in every Beta version release and test it on a daily basis. In case of a bug, one needs to report it with correct format and the tester has to maintain the confidentiality of the Beta testing programme. Interestingly, the model number is similar to the Indian variant i.e. Asus 6Z. This means that Indian users could also participate in beta testing.
Recollecting some key specifications, the Zenfone 6 aka Asus 6Z features a 6.4-inch Full HD+ NanoEdge display with a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 600nits brightness, HDR support and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Processor along with Adreno 640 GPU.
The major highlight of Asus 6Z is the rotating camera mechanism. The rear camera flips to become the front camera. The phone features a 48-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.79 Aperture and a 13-megapixel secondary sensor with a 125-degree ultra-wide angle lens and f/2.4 aperture.
The Asus 6Z is available for a starting price of Rs 31,999 for the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage option. The 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage models can be purchased for Rs 34,999 and Rs 39,999 respectively.
