Asus Zenfone 3 with 21MP camera spotted

The Zenfone 3 will be unveiled on May 30 along with Zenfone 3 Deluxe and Zenfone 3 Max.

Taiwanese company Asus is set to unveil Zenfone 3 series smartphones on May 30. Meanwhile, an Asus smartphone with model no Z016D has been found spotted on GFXBench website. The listing has revealed the specifications of the device and it is expected to be one of the Zenfone 3 models.

As per the listing, Asus ZenFone 3 has a 13.8-inch display that has (1920×1080 pixels) and 5 finger gesture support. We assume GFXBench has wrongly reported the screen size in inches and it can be 13.8 centimeters. This means that the phone could have 5.5 inch display.

Besides, as per the listing, it has a 2.1 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB RAM, 128GB of internal storage out of which 112GB is reserved for the users, Adreno 530 and 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system. There is no information about its battery or expandable memory in the listing.

Further, the ZenFone 3 was listed with 21-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. The GFX listing shows that the device has connectivity features like Bluetooth, GPS, and WiFi. As per the listing, the device has accelerometer, gyroscope, light and proximity sensors.

Recently, a Asus phone with the same model no ASUS_Z016D was spotted (https://www.themobileindian.com/news/18757_Purported-Asus-Zenfone-3-with-23MP-camera-Snapdragon-820-spotted-on-Antutu) on AnTuTu benchmark which however showed 23 rear camera as compared to 21 megapixel rear camera in GFXBench.

The Zenfone 3 will be unveiled on May 30 along with Zenfone 3 Deluxe and Zenfone 3 Max. So, we have to wait for few more days to know more on this.
