Asus has started rolling out Android Oreo update to its Zenfone 3 series. The company has rolled out the latest update to its Zenfone 3 Deluxe (ZS570KL) and Zenfone 3 Zoom smartphones.
Starting with Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe (ZS570KL), the update carries version number 15.0210.1804.47 and brings ahost of interesting features like autofill, picture-in-picture mode, smart text selections among others. However, it is important to note that the brand already rolled out Android Oreo update for the Deluxe model that comes with model number ZS550KL.
Coming to the Zenfone 3 Zoom, the latest update comes with model number ZE553KL and bears a model number 80.20.179.40, reports The Android Soul. Both the updates are rolling out via over-the-air (OTA). In order to check for the latest update, users can go to Settings > About > System Updates > Check Update and download the latest operating system.
Post getting Oreo update, the smartphones will have picture-in-picture mode that lets users to two tasks simultaneously. So, for example, one can minimise a YouTube video while sending a text message or writing an email. Android Oreo has other features like including Background limits, installation of apps via APK, over 60 new emojis, notification dots, Wide-gamut colour for apps, Snoozing individual notification, Adaptive icons, Keyboard navigation, WebView enhancements and much more.
