Apple’s iOS 6.1 operating system has run into rough weather again with the discovery of a new vulnerability that bypasses passcode locks on iOS devices.
This bug lets unauthorised access to contacts, photos and messages of the iPhone even when the phone is locked through some simple sets like pressing power and Home button to activate emergency calling and then access the content.
Apple in its comment to AllThingsD said, “We are aware of this issue, and will deliver a fix in a future software update.”
Apple takes pride in its security features and timely updates, so let’s hope they respond to this bug soon.
