Recently, Asus rolled out the Marshmallow update for the ZenFone 2 Laser and ZenFone Max smartphones.
Since the update is being rolled out over-the-air, it may take some time before it reaches out to all users of the devices. One can also manually check for the update by going to Settings ->About Phone -> Software Update. If you can’t wait, you can also download the full update from here and here.
The update brings various Marshmallow features and also removes a number of pre-loaded apps from the devices. It brings new Doze battery saving feature that hibernates background apps when the smartphone is in standby mode and ‘Now on Tap’ for Google Now showing contextual information by long pressing on the home button and app permissions to control the information you share with apps.
