As reported earlier, LeEco is working on the successor of LeEco Le 2 smartphone, which could be dubbed as LeEco Le 2s. Now a smartphone with model name LeEco X720 has been spotted on GFXBench bench-marking website, which as per reports could be the LeEco Le 2s smartphone. The listing revealed the key specification of the upcoming device.
As per GFXBench listing, the smartphone has 4GB RAM and not 8 GB as earlier reports suggested. Besides the phone was listed with 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 1080p) display, 2.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 (2xKryo@2.1GHz + 2xKryo@1.6GHz – ARMv8) SoC, and Adreno 530 GPU. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of Internal storage. It has a 16-megapixel auto-focus shooter with LED flash on the back, and an 8-megapixel front-facing selfie shooter. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system. Further as per listing, the smartphone has Accelerometer, Bluetooth, Compass, GPS, Gyroscope, Light sensor, NFC, Pedometer, Proximity and WiFi.
Recently, the alleged LeEco Le 2s got the necessary certification from CCC (China Compulsory Certification) as well. A week back, a couple of hands on images of the alleged LeEco Le 2s surfaced online, in which the front panel of the device is visible. As per reports, the alleged LeEco Le 2s smartphone is expected to be announced on September 7th or September 9th.
The predecessor of Le 2s, the Le 2 was launched in India at Rs 11,999 sometime back. It has a 5.5-inch InCell Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display. It is powered by the 64 bit Snapdragon 652 octa core processor, which is paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The smartphone has a 3000 mAh battery and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.
The Le 2 offers a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, PDAF and f/2.0 aperture. The rear camera features include Auto Focus, Manual Focus, HDR, Scene Mode, 4K Recording, and Slow Motion Recording (720p at 120 fps). In its front there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
Further, the smartphone offers Dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE with VoLTE, WiFi, WiFi Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.1, A-GPS, GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C port and a fingerprint sensor on the back. Note that it has no 3.5 mm jack, instead the USB Type-C port can be used for audio output. The handset measures 74.2×151.1×7.7 mm and weighs 153 grams.
