On the specification front, the Alcatel Idol 4 sports a 5.2-inch FHD IPS display with a screen resolution of 1080x1920 pixels. The smartphone is powered by a dated octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor. The device is backed by a 3GB and 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 512GB via microSD card.
The smartphone flaunts a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, dual-tone LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF and EIS. For the front, the device comes with an 8-megapixel camera. The Idol 4 is powered by a 2610mAh battery with Quick Charge support and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. On the connectivity front, the smartphone offers Dual SIM, 4G/LTE, WiFi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac), WiFi Direct, micro-USB port, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC and GPS/A-GPS. The handset measures 147x72.5x7.1mm and weighs 130 grams.
Commenting on the launch, Praveen Valecha, Regional Director, Alcatel India, said, "We are excited to launch our flagship device, IDOL 4 in the Indian market which marks another milestone for us. We are proud to be the pioneers in democratizing technology by bringing the benefits of VR to consumers across economic spectrum at disruptive price-points. Another innovative feature - the Boom Key boom-ifies everything, from the sound to photos to gaming. We are optimistic that the consumers will love this product."
