Alcatel today unveiled a new smartphone called Flash Plus 2. The smartphone comes in two variants – one has 2GB RAM and 16GB storage at $160 (approximately Rs 10,685), where as the other one has 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage which is priced at $190 (approximately Rs 12,687). The Flash Plus 2 will be first made available in the 5 countries- Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, Monaco and Thailand (Local prices might differ slightly due to local tax and other conditions).
The Alcatel Flash Plus 2 will succeed Alcatel Flash Plus, which was launched last year.
The Alcatel Flash Plus 2 has a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) OGS display. It is powered by a 2.0 GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755) processor, which is paired with Mali T860MP2 GPU, 2GB/3GB RAM, and 16GB/32GB. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and is shipped with 3000mAh battery, which claims to charge up to 50% of the 3000mAh battery in just 30 mins.
The Flash Plus 2 flaunts an 13-megapixel snapper with OV13853 sensor, dual-tone LED flash, and PDAF on the back. On the front, it has 5-megapixel selfie shooter with LED flash light. Besides, the smartphone offers Fingerprint scanner, Dual SIM, 4G LTE, WiFi (820.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and a microUSB 2.0 port. The device comes with Kids Mode that can help you get your babies attention by generating different animal sounds. The Flash Plus also packs a NXP9890 audio amplifier which increases the speaker power to 3.6W and amplifies the sound up to 3-8 times (5-9dB). Other features include, One Finger One App feature- that lets you assign different fingers to open different apps, with just a touch. The handset measures 152.6×76.4×8.2mm and weighs around 157 grams. The device comes in two color- Luna Silver and Venus Gold.
