Bharti airtel has launched its 3G services for the UP West and Uttarakhand circle while making its third generation telephony services available to customers in cities like Agra, Dehradun and Meerut to begin with.
In order to help their customer experience the Airtel 3G, 11 3G experience zones have been set up in Dehradun, followed by 12 centres each in both Agra and Meerut. Following this launch Airtel plans to roll out this service in 30 more towns in the UP West and Uttarakhand circle in the next 180 days.
“Airtel’s 3G services will change the way our customers communicate and experience the advantage of adding power of mobility to the internet. We expect a strong uptake and high demand for these 3G Services and welcome our customers of UP West and Uttarakhand and we are confident that this launch will add impetus to the expansion of data services in India,” said Deepak Mehrotra, operations director-north and west, mobile services, Bharti airtel.
With data speeds of up to 21.1 Mbps for download and 14.4 Mbps for upload, users can expect a vast improvement in their surfing and data usage experience along with added functionalities like video calling.
Airtel 3G service is already available in 31 cities and towns across India including Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, Coimbatore, Mysore, Manipal, Udipi, Jaipur, Delhi NCR, Hubli, Patna, Hyderabad and West Bengal.
