Aircel launches free voice calls, data for Rs 148 for Delhi

Recently, even Airtel had announced price cuts on data for its prepaid subscribers.

Aircel has joined the bandwagon of operators who have started offering free voice calls after Jio announced its welcome offer followed by latest ‘Happy New Year’ offer in which it is offering free voice, data and content to its users.

The company has launched a special offer for its new pre-paid consumers in Delhi through which they can avail free voice calling and data services for 90 days by recharging for Rs 148.

Through this plan, the Aircel customers in Delhi will be able to make free Aircel to Aircel (local and STD) for 90 days. As for other networks is concerned, users will get 15,000 seconds/month for three months coupled with unlimited 2G data for one month. But to avail, this first recharge of Rs 149 has to done.

Recently, even Airtel had announced price cuts on data for its prepaid subscribers, in the past week or more, it has also quietly rolled out special data packages or top-ups for select postpaid subscribers. Starting at Rs 100 for 2 extra data and up proportionately, depending on the data plans and usage, the firm has clearly moved to protect its premium users from Jio’s outreach.

As the deadline for Jio’s free offers has been extended, expect more announcements and revisions from the incumbents.
