Samsung is set to showcase its latest flagships, the S9 and S9+, this Sunday ahead of Mobile World Congress event which is scheduled to take place between February 26 to March 1 in Barcelona, Spain.
Meanwhile, famous smartphone speculator, Eval Blass (@evleaks) has claimed that the price of Galaxy S9 will start at EUR 841 (roughly Rs 67,200) and the Galaxy S9+ will start at EUR 997 (roughly Rs 79,600) in an European market. Even if this rumour is true, we have no information about prices of the devices in India. Also, the devices might cost significantly high in India as import duty is added to their cost. But if these phones get launched in India at the stated prices, the S9 will cost less than the S8 Plus which is selling India for Rs 68,999.

The Galaxy S9 is expected to feature a 12-megapixel sensor while the S9+ might have a dual-camera setup at the rear with a combination of two 12-megapixel sensors with one of them featuring variable Aperture as mentioned above along with a secondary sensor with f/2.4 aperture. Both the sensors present in Galaxy S9+ and single rear camera in Galaxy S9 will feature optical image stabilization (OIS) and both of them will come loaded with laser and Dual Pixel autofocus, claim reports. They might offer 8-megapixel front camera.
Besides, the S9 series phones expected to have stereo speakers, AKG-tuned earphones, a 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity Display with an aspect ratio of 18:5:9.
While in the US and China, the phones are expected with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, in other regions they are expected to come with Exynos 9810 SoC. The company’s in-house Processor is based on 10nm process and features four cores clocked at 1.9GHz, while four high-performance cores are clocked at 2.9GHz. The European variant of the phones is said to be coming with 64GB of storage option, which can be expanded up to 400GB via micro SD card slot. The Galaxy S9 might have 4GB of RAM, while the Galaxy S9+ is expected with 6GB of RAM.
Ofcourse they are most likely to come with Android 8.0 Oreo, based on Samsung Experience 9.0. A 3000 mAh battery is expected in Galaxy S9 while the Galaxy S9+ may offer a 3500mAh battery with wireless charging feature. Other than that water and dust resistance, iris scanner, facial recognition and fingerprint sensor for security are almost taken for granted.
