The iPhone lovers might finally have an Apple phone with a curved screen. Reports quoting “persons familiar with the matter” claimed that the company is working on a curved display bearing phone.
Reports said that the phone will be launched in 2-3 years which means the first curved iPhone will come almost 7-8 years after the first curved smartphone of Samsung, the Galaxy Round, came in 2013. To avoid charges of copying, Apple maygive a different design on the phone which will have curved at the top and bottom and not in the sides as in Samsung phones, said the reports.
Besides, Apple is also said to be working on touchless gestures. With touchless gesture input, you could trigger an action just by hovering your phone above the display to do something. But these techs are still in research phase and implementation of the final product might see many more years at least.
Ironically, Samsung may have a fully foldable phone ready by the time Apple brings its first curved smartphone. Just recently reports claimed that the South Korean company may be working with a phone called Galaxy X with a foldable display.Meanwhile, Huawei has become the first company to get the patent for a foldable smartphone and it might be the first company to come with a foldable phone ahead of Samsung and Apple.
