6-inch Intex Aqua i15 with quad core processor now available for Rs 12,799

From the specifications, the Intex Aqua i15 appears to be a stripped down version of the freshly announced Aqua Octa smartphone.

Intex Aqua i15, about which we reported few days back, is now available from Flipkart for Rs 12,799. Though on Intex’s website, the Aqua i15 was listed in Blue, White and Black colours, the retailer is only offering the white version of the handset.

Intex Aqua i15 comes with a textured back panel and a 6-inch IPS LCD display that supports 960×540 pixel resolution. Inside the chassis, Intex has fitted a 1.3 GHz MediaTek MT6582 quad-core processor and 512 MB RAM. The handset runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system.

At the back, the Intex Aqua i15 has an 8 megapixel autofocus camera and LED flash. We believe one can even record an HD video with that camera. Video calls can be performed with the 2 megapixel camera in the front.

The Aqua i15 supports one 3G network SIM in one of the Dual-SIM slots. For faster mobile web experience, the handset offers WiFi support as well. Besides, this handset has 4 GB internal storage and 32 GB micro SD card slot. For connectivity, it has Bluetooth, WiFi, micro USB port, and a 3.5 mm jack. It has GPS for navigation as well.

Intex has loaded bunch of add-ons such as multi-language support through Matrabhasha, Intex Cloud, Intex Play, NQ Vault, Intel Life Box and Intex Game Club. To power this large screen smartphone, there is a 2400 mAh battery. The phone comes with Accelerometer, Proximity, Light, and G sensors. The handset measures 85.5×168.5×9 mm (width, height, thickness).

From the specifications, the Intex Aqua i15 appears to be a stripped down version of the freshly announced Aqua Octa smartphone which was launched for Rs 19,990. We believe there would be a significant difference the price of both handsets.
