Sony today launched a wireless speaker, SRS-X99, in India at Rs 49,990.
The new speaker comes with seven speakers of 154 Watts that includes two super tweeters, two front tweeters, two mid-range drivers and a single subwoofer. “The two Super Tweeters extend clarity at the higher frequencies and help create a wide sound stage ideal for Hi-Resolution listening. Two Magnetic Fluid Speaker Mid-Range drivers deliver balanced and precise mids for a warm, organic sound. A Subwoofer and dual passive radiators round out the mix delivering precise and powerful low end. S-Master HX digital amplification circuitry, specially tuned for Hi-Resolution music files, adds faithful wide-frequency audio reproduction,” explained Sony in a press release.
It has DLNA, NFC, Bluetooth, and WiFi, allowing users to play music wirelessly. There is a USB port in the speaker as well so one can use a pen drive directly with the SRS-X99.
The SRS-X99 claims to support playback of a wide variety of Hi-Resolution music files including MP3, WMA, AAC, WAV, FLAC, AIFF, ALAC and DSD. You can connect it with a PC or thumb drive to the speaker via built-in USB.
X99 has DSEE-HX sound technology as well as Sony’s exclusive LDAC technology that allows for high quality wireless Bluetooth audio streaming from compatible devices. Besides, it comes with SongPal Link functionality, which is part of the SongPal app.
