Here we present to you our first impression of Acer liquid E700.
After Motorola, Acer has become the second company to re-enter Indian mobile market after a long hibernation. Yesterday at an event in Delhi it launched the Liquid Jade for Rs 16,999 and the Liquid E700 for Rs 11,999. Here we present to you our first impression of Acer liquid E700.
To start with Acer liquid E700 supports triple SIM and has front facing camera with flash. It has a curved design at the top and bottom edges and looks quite elegant.
In the front panel you will see camera along with flash on the top and three capacitive buttons at the bottom just below the display screen. Below it there is a speaker grill as well just like HTC smartphones.
On the side panel you will find volume rocker and micro USB port and the top panel accommodates 3.5 mm jack and power on/off button.
It has a removable back panel which is rubberized and has a matte finish. On the back panel one will find camera along with flash and a customisable button just like LG phones, which can trigger camera and music app. Under the hood one will find three SIM slots and one micro SD card slot.
In terms of specifications, Acer Liquid E700 has a 5-inch 720p display and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat. It is powered by 1.2 GHz MediaTek MT6582 quad-core processor. It has a 8 megapixel rear camera with auto focus and LED flash, and 2 megapixel front facing camera with flash. It is powered by a 3500 mAh battery. On the memory front it has 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and microSD card slot that can support 32 GB card.
In our brief time with the Acer Liquid E700, viewing the display was not an issue, though it was bit reflective even when having a direct eye contact. Also while scrolling, on couple of occasion I felt a bit of lag especially while opening apps.
Because of flashy light at the event we couldn't properly test the camera capabilities of the phone. We will do a detailed test in our review.
In terms of look and feel, Acer Liquid E700 looked quite sturdy and was easy to hold. The curved design at the bottom and top looks good and adds a style quotient. It looks like while designing Liquid E700 couple of design elements were borrowed from HTC and LG smartphones. Stay tuned for detailed review where we will be sharing our views about the device and help you make decision about whether to buy it or not.
