Xolo has announced the launch of a new smartphone, A500s Lite. The handset is priced at Rs 5,499 and supports 10 Indian languages.
The Xolo A500s Lite has a premium leather finish back panel and measures 127 x 63 x 9.2 mm. It comes with a 4 inch IPS display that has 480×800 pixels resolution. The phone has a decent 1.3 Ghz dual core Processor and Mali 400 MP GPU. However, it has the older Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system unlike Moto E’s Android KitKat operating system. Also the Xolo A500S Lite has only 512 MB RAM.
Besides, the A500s Lite has 4 GB internal storage and 32 GB micro SD card slot. Also it has a meagre 3 megapixel rear fixed focus camera and a VGA front camera. The rear camera though, as claimed, can capture HD videos. Thankfully it has a decent 1400 mAh battery that claims to offer 8 hours of 3G talktime. It has the usual WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, and Micro USB 2.0.
The Xolo A500s Lite will have a hard time considering a slew of new launches like the Motorola Moto E, Micromax Unite 2, Lava Iris X1 – all offering the latest Android KitKat version.
