Xiaomi Mi Max 2 with 6.44 inch full HD display and 5300mAh battery reportedly launching in India on July 26

Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is the successor of Xiaomi Mi Max smartphone which was launched last year in India for Rs 14,999.

Xiaomi had launched the Mi Max 2 smartphone in China this year in May in Gold colour. Recently, a new Matte Black variant of Xiaomi Mi Max 2 was also launched in Hong Kong. Now seems like the company will soon be launching the Mi Max 2 in India. As per a report, Xiaomi is expected to launch Xiaomi Mi Max 2 in India on July 26.

Furthermore, as per the report, the Mi Max 2 will be initially available for purchase via online channels but later on, it will also be sold via offline channels as well. However, the Indian pricing of the Mi Max 2 is not revealed at the moment. Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is the successor of Xiaomi Mi Max smartphone which was launched last year in India for Rs 14,999.

In China, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 was launched in two variants -64GB internal storage priced at 1,699 Yuan (approximately Rs 15,948) and 128GB internal storage which will cost you 1,999 Yuan (approximately Rs 18,765). Xiaomi Mi Max 2 features a full metal body and a 6.4-inch full 2.5D curved glass display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The smartphone is powered by 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 with Adreno 506GPU which is coupled with 4GB and 64GB/128GB of internal storage.

Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has a 12-megapixel Sony IMX386 rear sensor with a f/2.2 aperture, 1.25 micron and Phase Detection (PDAF). On its front, it has a 5-megapixel selfie camera with 85-degree wide-angle lens, f/2.0 aperture. The Mi Max 2 rear camera sits on the upper left of the device, along with Dual LED flashlight, a fingerprint scanner placed on its back panel, USB Type-C port on the bottom with speaker holes, a jack and an port on the top. It also features an blaster, which the Xiaomi claims can act as a universal remote for televisions and air conditions.

The smartphone runs on 7.1.1 Nougat operating system which will be wrapped under MIUI 8 and will be backed up by a 5,300mAh battery. The battery comes with Quick charge 3.0 support with parallel charging. It claims to offer two days of battery life and provides 68% charge in just 1 hour. Besides, the smartphone offers hybrid dual sim, VoLTE, WiFi, GPS + GLONASS, 4.2, NFC, USB Type C, Accelerometer, Light sensor, Gyroscope, and Proximity sensor. It measures 174.1 x 88.7 x 7.6mm and weighs 211 grammes.
