A little over a week after launching a Supernova Red colour variant of the V11 Pro, Vivo is about to announce the Vivo Y93 smartphone in India. However, the Vivo Y93 model to be launched in India will differ from the budget-centric phone that was released in China in November as it will be powered by a MediaTek chipset instead of a Qualcomm processor along with minor variations.
The Vivo Y93 Indian version features a 6.22-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 1520×720 pixels and a 19:9 Aspect Ratio. There’s a teardrop notch on the front which allows room for more screen real estate and thus has a screen-to-body ratio of 88.6 percent.

|Display||6.22-inch HD+, 1520×720 pixels|
|Memory||4GB RAM, 32GB storage|
|Camera||Rear: 13MP(f/2.2) + 2MP (f/2.4); Front: 8MP|

Unlike its Chinese sibling, the Vivo Y93 is powered by an Octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 with PowerVR GE8320 GPU, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. The device features a fingerprint scanner at the back and is fuelled by a 4,030mAh battery.
For optics, the Vivo Y93 is equipped with a dual-camera setup that comes with a combination of 13-megapixel (f/2.2) primary lens and a 2-megapixel (f/2.4) secondary shooter with LED flash. For the front, the company has added an 8-megapixel selfie shooter with f/1.8 aperture.
The Vivo phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with FunTouch OS 4.5. Connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, FM Radio, micro USB and 3.5mm Audio Jack. The Y93 measure at 155.11 x 75.09 x 8.28 mm and weighs in at 163.5 grams.
The Vivo Y93 has been listed on Vivo’s official website with no details on availability and pricing, meaning an imminent launch is on the card for the budget-centric phone. The device will be made available in Starry Black and Nebula Purple colours at the time of its launch.
