Samsung pauses Android 4.3 roll out for Galaxy SIII

Samsung has temporarily suspended the roll out of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy S III smartphone owners after several issues were reported from initial adopters.

Samsung has been pushing out the 4.3 Jelly Bean update wrapped in NatureUX for its Galaxy series smartphones. Samsung had just started pushing the update for the Galaxy SIII owners but pulled the update after getting complaints about several bugs. SamMobile reported that Samsung Mobile UK stated that the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy SIII smartphone has been temporarily suspended to investigate on the reported issues.
Samsung pauses Android 4.3
Last year’s Samsung Galaxy series of smartphones are destined to get the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update, of course with a layer of NatureUX on top of it. However, several users who downloaded the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy S III phone. The major issues included huge battery drain, random freezing, wake-up lag, stuttered music playback on Samsung Music app, freezing on incoming calls, poor RAM, WiFi issues and Audio issues.

Samsung Mobile UK said in a statement:

“As we are currently investigating the reported issues with Galaxy S3 4.3 Jelly Bean update, the upgrading service has been temporarily suspended. We are committed to providing customers with the best possible mobile experience, and will ensure to resume the upgrading service at the earliest possibility.”

The owners of the Samsung Galaxy S III smartphone in India might face some delay in receiving the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update. As of now, Samsung has provided no clarity on the devices getting Android 4.4 KitKat update or the timeline.
