After battery woes in the Galaxy Note 8, it seems Samsung is once again under scanner as some Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ users are reporting that the phone’s screen wakes up while the phone is on charge.
Multiple users took Reddit and Samsung’s official forum to highlight this new issue. Users are complaining that the device “randomly wake up while charging” and some says that the issue has been plaguing the devices since November software update. Further, the issue is reported by those users who are on AT&T network.
“My new S8+ phone has started waking up from lock screen every 10 sec or so. I did a factory reset but it did not fix the issue. This is really annoying. I did google search and it seems that others are also having a similar problem. I tried to turn off everything in the settings menu that might cause this but still did not help,” said one user.

Samsung is yet to provide an official statement on this matter, though a Samsung moderator requested users to perform a soft reset to solve the issue. But this doesn’t solve anything, as per many users. Further, multiple Samsung Galaxy Note 8 users have reported the same problem. One user claims that the lock screen randomly wakes up a dozen of times in a single day.
Previously, users reported that their Samsung Galaxy Note 8 refuses to accept to charge or turn on when the battery reaches 0%. Users have tried different cables and charges to juice up the battery of the Galaxy Note 8 to make sure that this is not a problem with the charger, but it seems that the units are faulty.
