It seems that Samsung is prepping to roll out a new update to the Galaxy A7 (2017) that will bring Android 9.0 Pie to the smartphone. The device has been spotted on Benchmarking site running with the latest Android version.
The Geekbench listing of the Galaxy A7 (2017) reveals Android 9.0 Pie. The listing was updated on January 11, 2019. This certainly means that the South Korean giant is in process of baking the latest Android 9.0 Pie update for its mid-range. The listing further reveals that the phone was scored 801 points in single-core test and 4292 points in the multi-core test.The smartphone received Android Oreo update in April last year.
To recall, the smartphone was launched in India in 2017. As for the price is concerned, the phone was launched at a price point of Rs 33,490. However, it now retails around Rs 25,000 in the country. Jumping straight to the specifications, the Galaxy A7 (2017) is loaded with a 5.7-inch FUll HD Super AMOLED display. It is powered by a 1.9GHz octa-core Processor (Exynos 7880) coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
On the camera front, it sports a 16-megapixel rear and front cameras with Aperture f/1.9. The smartphone is powered by a 3,600mAh Li-Polymer battery with fast charging technology. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Dual-SIM, Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac), Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.2, ANT+, USB Type-C and NFC.
