Xiaomi has started rolling out a new update to is Poco Launcher that brings a host of interesting features including new dark theme mode. The update also brings bug fixes along with sharper app icons and more.
The new dark theme was first spotted by Android Police and it is available to Poco Launcher with version number 18.104.22.168. In order to enable the dark theme, users need to long-press on the home screen and then click on Settings icons. Users then need to click on More and then on Backgrounds. There one will find an option to choose between light and dark theme.
One can also set up the transparency of the background as well. The report highlights that if the transparency is set to zero, then one can enjoy a completely black background. This is helpful in optimising the battery of the smartphone. However, it is important to note that Poco Launcher is available to download from Google Play Store and one can use it on any smartphone, meaning that anyone can use this feature.
Apart from this, the update also brings sharper and crisper icons. The update also brings the ability to add custom apps to App vault shortcuts. Furthermore, it also enables double tapping the screen to lock devices for all compatible models. The company has also fixed the bugs that slowed down the user interface and it is claimed to be more responsive in nature.
Previously, the company rolled out system-wide dark mode and Game Turbo for Poco F1 with new MIUI 10 Global Beta 9.3.21 update. Game Turbo enabled printable gaming scenes and thus intelligently allocates resources for when running complicated scenes inside games.
