OnePlus 7 Pro display gets DisplayMate A Plus certification

As reported earlier, OnePlus is all set to launch its flagship smartphones named OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro on May 14th in Bangalore, India. Meanwhile, OnePlus 7 Pro smartphone gets the highest DisplayMate A+ certification. DisplayMate is considered as the most reliable display evaluation agency in the United States and there are only few devices which receives A-level certification.

 

DisplayMate claimed that the OnePlus 7 Pro smartphone has not only exceeded expectations, but also raised the bar for smartphone displays across the industry. The smartphone display has done remarkably well through all parameters including colour accuracy, brightness, contrast accuracy or pixel density to provide a soothing viewing experience even after using it for a longer period. The smartphone's display has also received the ‘Safety for Eyes’ certification from the independent VDE Testing and Certification Institute for having better ability filter out harmful blue lights. It also has an upgraded eye protection features which allow you to adjust temperature and brightness to enhance eye comfort. Users can even adjust the display colour gamut, colour temperature to get the most suitable screen calibration.

DisplayMate Technologies will be publishing an in-depth Display Technology Shoot-Out article on OnePlus 7 Pro on 14th May 2019, the same date the launch event is scheduled to happen in Bangalore.

 

On Friday, OnePlus had posted a tweet with 10-second video teaser of the OnePlus 7 Pro bearing a triple rear cameras arranged vertically and positioned in the middle. The tweets read “Bells and whistles make noise” and “We make phones” which also suggest that the company might launch multiple phones.

 

As per earlier reports, OnePlus 7 Pro expected to have a 48-megapixel primary sensor, 8-megapixel 3X zoom telephoto secondary lens with f/2.4 aperture lens and a 16-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture lens that would offer a 117-degree field of view. On the front, it migjht have 16-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture. Further, it is said to feature Snapdragon 855 processor. The phone would have a pop-up selfie camera and will be backed by a 4000mAh battery with support for 30W Warp Charging.

 

OnePlus 7 Pro is said to come in three different variants - 6GB of RAM with 128GB of storage and 8GB/12GB of RAM + 256GB of storage. Further, as per reports the 8GB variant will come with a price tag of EUR 749 / EUR 759. The phone will come in Mirror Grey, Almond, and Nebula Blue colour options.

 

Meanwhile between all these developments, alleged Oneplus 7 smartphone was seen in a music video staring Indian music personalty 'Neha Bhasin', which suggest that the smartphone wouldn't have any notch on the front and will have extra thin top bezel, contradictory to the earlier reports that pointed on a notch-display. As far as other expected specifications of OnePlus 7 goes, the smartphone might have a 6.4-inch display that supports full HD+ resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. The phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 855 SoC and will house a in-display fingerprint scanner. The phone will be backed up by 3,700mAh battery with support for 20W rapid charging. For the optics, the OnePlus 7 will house a dual camera setup with combination of 48-megapixel main sensor with f/1.7 aperture and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. Further, it is said to have two variants- 6GB RAM with 128GB storage and 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage.
