OnePlus has started rolling out a new update for its newly-launched OnePlus 6T. The latest OxygenOS brings improvements and bug fixes.
The company has started pushing OxygenOS 9.0.5 for the OnePlus 6T that brings improvements for Screen Unlock. The update also adds some general bug fixes and improvements. As it is a staged rollout, the update will be released via OTA to a limited number of users and will have a border roll out in a few days. The update has also refined that gesture-based navigation controls for a smoother and quicker response.
Previously, the company rolled out OxygenOS 9.0.4 for the OnePlus 6T that brought new features. To start with, the update introduced the new navigation gestures along with improved Screen Unlock feature. It also optimised standby power consumption and updated the Android security patch to November 2018. On the camera front, the update brought improvements to Nightscape and added studio lighting to enhance face contour. The update also brings general bug fixes and improvements.
Meanwhile, the company also started rolling out a new update to the OnePlus 6 units around the world bringing the much-talked-about camera additions as well as fixes and other goodies. First up, the update comes with Nightscape and Studio Lighting which have now been ported from the OnePlus 6T to the OnePlus 6 to improve the camera performance of the latter. Nightscape brings better image quality and brightness under low light conditions while Studio Lighting mode is used to click portraits, like Apple’s Portrait Lighting mode.
