OnePlus announced its upcoming OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition smartphone a week after announcing a partnership with McLaren Automotive and McLaren Racing, one of the most successful teams in Formula 1 history. The company has now announced that the ‘Notify Me’ option on Amazon India has gone live for the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition. Users can register on ‘Notify Me’ to receive real-time updates on the device on Amazon.
As part of OnePlus’ Fifth Anniversary celebrations, the collaboration between the two brands will unfold in India in a ‘Salute to Speed’ event on 12 December 2018 at Richardson and Cruddas Limited, Byculla, Mumbai. Ahead of the event on 12 December, the company also announced that community members can also be a part of all the on-ground excitement through the purchase of invites. These invites will be available via Oneplus website at Rs 799 starting from 10:00 am IST on Thursday, 6 December 2018.
The OnePlus Community at the event will be the first in India to experience the latest OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition at the experience zones at the celebration. In addition, all attending community members will receive a gift hamper full of super add-ons like official McLaren merchandise and the new OnePlus Bullets Wireless Red.

As per a previous report, OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition will feature a whopping 10GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It is expected that this McLaren Edition will be priced at around Rs 45,999. Other than design changes, the smartphone will most likely feature the same specifications as of the existing OnePlus 6T variants.
OnePlus 6T starts at Rs 37,999 for the 6GB+128GB storage variant. OnePlus 6T with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage retails at Rs 41,999. The high-end variant of OnePlus 6T with 256GB storage is priced at Rs 45,999.
In the past also, the company partnered with Disney and Marvel to launch Star Wars edition OnePlus 5T and the Avengers edition OnePlus 6 respectively. OnePlus also partnered with Colette store in Paris for its OnePlus 6T smartphone. However, this variant was only limited to the European market.
