Nokia 9 PureView to launch in India soon

Nokia 9 PureView might be priced around Rs 46,999 in India.

HMD Global introduced Nokia 9 PureView at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019 earlier this year. The smartphone was teased to be launched in India last month. Now seems like the smartphone launch in India will be happening soon.

The Nokia 9 PureView has now been certified by India’s Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), which suggests it may soon be launched in the country. BIS certification is a means for providing a third-party guarantee of quality, safety, and reliability of products to the customer.

The BIS certification has confirmed that the smartphone will be launched in India soon. The certification has certified the TA-1087 variant of the flagship Nokia 9 PureView, reports MySmartPrice.

As per a previous report, Nokia 9 PureView might be priced around Rs 46,999 in India. Currently, the device is available in the USA and some European markets.

Nokia 9 PureView is the world’s first smartphone to feature five cameras at the rear. HMD has partnered with Zeiss for its new penta-camera setup. The setup consists of five 12-megapixel out of which three are monochromatic lenses and two are RGB sensors. The company claims that each camera is controlled individually and all the cameras can take photos simultaneously to offer high dynamic range. For the front, there is a 20-megapixel front-facing camera.

The smartphone features a 5.99-inch with 1440 x 2880 Quad resolution, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and 5 protection. . It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with Adreno 630 along with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

The phone runs on 9.0 Pie and is fueled by a 3,320mAh battery with support for fast charging and wireless charging. The phone measures 155 x 75 x 8 mm and weighs 172 grams. On the connectivity front, it supports VoLTE, WiFi, 5.0, GPS, AGPS, GLONASS, NFC, and USB port.
