HMD Global has launched Nokia 8.1, Android One smartphone at an event in Dubai yesterday. The Nokia 8.1 is priced at 399 Euros (Rs 31,900 approx.). It will be available in UAE from December 15th priced at 1,499 Dirham (Rs 28,805 approx.) and will be available in rest of Middle East from December 20th. It comes in comes in Blue/Silver, Steel/Copper, Iron/Steel colour variants.
The Nokia 8.1 is the global variant of the Nokia X7 smartphone which was launched by the company in China. The smartphone feature a 6.18-inch Full HD+ display with a screen Resolution of 2246 x 1080 pixels, 18.7:9 aspect ratio and 500 nits brightness. It featues a fingerprint sensor at the back.
The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 2.2GHz octa-core Processor with Adreno 616 GPU. It has 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage with expandable memory up to 400GB via micro SD card slot.

For the imagining department, the phone is has a dual rear camera setup with a combination of a 12-megapixel primary lens with dual-tone LED flash, 1/2.55″ Sony IMX363 sensor, f/1.8 aperture, 1.4μm pixels,Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and 13-megapixel secondary sensor with f/2.2 aperture, ZEISS optics.A wide Aperture ensures you can capture sharp pictures even in low light conditions, allowing longer exposure times that can be manually controlled with the Pro Camera mode. For the front, it has a 20-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture. The front camera lets you capture the ultimate night-time selfie, as it enhances how much light it is able to capture by combining four pixels into one super pixel.
It runs on Android 9.0 Pie operating system and is backed up by a 3500mAh battery with Fast charging support. For the connectivity, the phone has Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C and 3.5mm Headphone jack. It has dimensions 154.8 x 75.76 x 7.97 mm and weight: 180g.
Nokia 8.1 is expected to be launched in India on December 10. The company will be holding a launch in India on December 6 to likely announce the Nokia 8.1.
