Nokia 8 expected to launch on July 31 for Rs 43,415

Nokia 2 may be the cheapest smartphone from Nokia

Nokia’s distribution partner HMD Global is expected to launch the next wave of smartphones from its stable on July 31. The smartphones likely to launched are Nokia 8 and Nokia 9 according to a report by German website WinFuture.

However, a Scandinavian retailer has claimed only Nokia 8 will hit stores on July 31, 2017, at a price of €589 (approximately Rs 43,415). As of now, as most of the updates which are coming about Nokia’s next line up of smartphones are leaked based nothing concrete can be said about the devices.

Nokia 8, model-number TA-1004, is rumored to feature a Quad 5.3-inch display with a resolution of 1440×2560 pixels and will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. It may have a 4GB RAM and 64 which can be further beefed by via support. Also, it is expected that the device will support a dual 13-megapixel camera at rear and an 8-megapixel camera in the front. It is also expected to have a fingerprint scanner.

As far as Nokia 9 is concerned, It is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm’s latest flagship processor, the Snapdragon 835 and it will be the first Nokia device to feature ‘Nokia OZO Audio’ enhancements.

It may feature a 5.5-inch QHD display, along with Adreno 540 GPU. It will come with 6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. The smartphone will run on Android 7.1.2 Nougat operating system and will be backed up by a 3800mAH battery with Qualcomm Quick-Charge 4 support. On the camera front, the smartphone will sport a 22-megapixel dual Carl-Zeiss rear camera and a 12-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies

In another development, as per the latest leaks by Baidu, a Chinese website, Nokia 2 is also on the cards. It is expected to be the cheapest smartphone from Nokia. On the processor front, it might come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 processor.
