Meizu is reported to launch a new smartphone in India pretty soon. The company is all set to bring the Meizu M6T smartphone to the Indian shores.
According to a report by MeizuMatters, a senior official has confirmed that the smartphone will be launched as a Flipkart exclusive. The report further highlights that the device will come bundled with Reliance Jio offer. However, there is no official word about its India launch and the pricing of the upcoming device is not known at the moment.
To recall, Meizu unveiled the M6T in China in May this year. The smartphone comes in three variants – 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage priced at 799 Yuan which is approx. Rs 8,500, 4GB RAM with 32GB internal storage priced at 999 Yuan which is approx. Rs 10,600 and 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage priced at 1099 Yuan which is approx. Rs 11,650. The Meizu M6T comes in Black, Gold and Red colour variants.
Meizu M6T features a 5.7-inch HD+ 2.5D curved glass display with the resolution of 1,440 x 720 pixels, 18:9 aspect ratio and is powered by a MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, along with Mali T860 GPU. It comes with 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage, which can be further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. The smartphone runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat) with Flyme OS 6.2 on top and is backed up by a 3,300mAh non-removable battery. The smartphone also features a fingerprint sensor at the back of the device.
On the camera front, the Meizu M6T sports a dual rear camera of 13-megapixel primary camera with f/2.2 aperture, with LED flash, Sony IMX278 and 2-megapixel secondary camera with f/2.4 aperture. For the front, it features an 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video chats with f/2.0 aperture. Besides, the smartphone offers 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS/AGPS and a micro USB port.
Judging by the type of specifications it offers, one could expect it to fall under budget segment. The smartphone will compete with the likes of Xiaomi Redmi 5, Realme 1 and more, which currently offers some really good specifications at an aggressive price point. Further, it would be difficult for a brand like Meizu, which has been silent for quite a while and has recently launched smartphones, which comes with underwhelming specs sheet.
