Another interesting addition to the update is the new Extendable Read-Only File System (EROFS) which is set to improve speed, disk performance and save disk space. The new file system is capable of increasing the random read speed by 20 percent and saving as much as 2GB of system storage. EROFS was first available on the Huawei P30 Pro but later was seeded to Huawei P30 Lite, Huawei P20 Lite, Huawei Nova3i, and Huawei Y9.
