HTC launches Desire L for Rs 19,800

The phone has been launched in Taiwan for Rs 19,800 equivalent, the phone gets 4.3 inch display, 1Ghz dual core processor coupled with 1GB RAM and 5MP rear camera.

HTC has launched a new mid-range Desire series smartphone in Taiwan called Desire L. It is also referred to as mini Butterfly.

The phone is being sold for NT $10,900 (Rs 19,800) in Taiwan and comes with 4.3 inch Super 2 display with 800×480 pixel resolution.

HTC Desire L comes in choices of pink, black and silvery white colours and has 8.9mm thickness and weighs 18 grams.

Surprisingly, there is no front facing camera on the phone, which is all the more surprising as the HTC Butterfly gets one of the best front facing camera of any phone launched till date. At the back you do get a 5 camera with a flash and auto focus.

There’s a 1GHz dual core coupled with and 1GB of RAM and 4GB of in Desire L. Other key features cover are 1800mAh battery, WiFi 802.11, with Glonass, 4.0 and like all HTC phones these days it comes with Beats Audio (music enhancement feature).

Availability in other markets has not been announced as of now.
