Honor announces Big Diwali Sale on Honor phones

Honor is giving a Rs 1,000 discount on the purchase of Honor 6X smartphone.

Chinese company Huawei has today announced the first edition of Diwali sale on its Honor line of smartphones. The sale will start from September 20 and will last until September 24.

During the sale, on the purchase of Honor 8 Pro, buyers will get a premium accessories gift box (Headphone, Type C Cable, to Type C Converter and Selfie Stick) worth Rs 2,000 absolutely free. Honor is also giving a Rs 1,000 discount on the purchase of Honor 6X smartphone. While Honor 3 will be available with Honor Sports Flask for free, all 3 variants of Huawei Watch 2 will come with the premium accessories gift box.

Further, Honor has also announced a new Power Bank on the hihonor store with 10000 mAh priced at a special introductory offer of 40% below the regular retail price at Rs 1999. In addition to this, most of the accessories will be available at a flat 50% discount.

The company launched Honor 8 Pro for the Indian market at Rs 29,999, while the Honor 6X was launched in India in January this year and the phone now after a price cut of Rs 1,000, will come at Rs 10,999 for 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage and Rs 12,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.

Honor 8 Pro

As per the specifications are concerned, the device will feature a 5.7-inch QHD LTPS display with a screen resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and a density of 515ppi. The device is powered by company’s in-house Kirin 960 octa-core processor and is backed by a 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

The device runs on 7.0 Nougat and is juiced by a 4000mAh battery. On the connectivity front, the smartphone support 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, 4.2, dual-SIM, sensor and measures 157 x 77.50 x 6.97 mm and weighs 184 grams.

Honor 6X

Honor 6X features a combination of a 12-megapixel sensor and a 2-megapixel sensor. The set up comes with phase detection (PDAF), flash etc. At the front, there is an 8-megapixel sensor for selfies. The camera lets you dig into and play with shallow depth of field and one can change the focus of an image post clicking it.

As far as other specifications are concerned, Honor 6X runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EMUI v4.1 on top. Other than that, it comes with a 5.5-inch (1080×1920 pixels) full-HD IPS display with 2.5D curved glass protection. On the inside, the device is powered by a Kirin 655 octa-core (4 cores at 2.1GHz + 4 cores at 1.7GHz) with Mali-T830MP2 GPU paired with 3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage or 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage. In both the cases, the internal storage is expandable via microSD card. There is 3340 mAh battery inside and the smartphone also offers with VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, with A-GPS, Compass etc.

Honor Band 3

Honor Band 3 was launched at Rs 2,799 in Dynamic Orange, Classic Navy Blue, and Carbon Black. The Honor Band 3 comes loaded with some tracking features like heart rate monitoring, walking/running tracking, continuous heart rate monitoring, advanced sleep tracking and notification alerts. The device is water resistant up to 50-metre and has a 30 days battery life on a single charge.

The band has a curved design that can easily fit on the wrist and weighs just 18 grams. It comes with optical heart rate monitoring technology that lets you check your statistics with a twist of your wrist. The band features heart rate algorithm coupled with M4 core technology, which is optimised for 10 different fitness scenarios and delivers a more accurate heart rate data.

The Honor Band 3 comes equipped with features like automatic recognition of burnt calories, measuring the distance and intensity of activities. It offers a real-time running plan to assist you in maintaining your fitness. Further, the band has a large display, which can be used to see notification alerts like caller ID, emails, call rejection, social media and calendar alerts. The device comes equipped with Huawei TruSleep tracking technology, which delivers sleep monitoring and tracks light, deep and REM sleeps, as well as sleep interruptions, and provides analysis and recommendation based on the captured data.

Huawei Watch 2

Huawei has recently launched the second generation of its smartwatch, the Watch 2 in India. The Watch 2 Sports with Bluetooth is priced at Rs 20,999, while the Classic variant with Bluetooth connectivity comes with a price tag of Rs 29,999. The Huawei Watch 2 with 4G connectivity is priced at Rs 29,999.

The major attraction of the wearable is the ceramic bezel used in the smartwatch, which gives some durability to the device. It comes with a dual crown design as well. The smartwatch with cellular connectivity sports nanoSIM or card slot. The cellular feature will help you to take calls, use independent apps like Uber, Foursquare, and Facebook Messenger, and remain connected to the internet when it is not connected to a Wi-Fi network or paired to a smartphone. The watch also supports LTE, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and Wi-Fi. The smartwatch is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor and it is compatible with Android and devices.

The smartwatch is touted to be the lightest smartwatch as it weighs just 57 grams. The device comes with an inbuilt GPS, which will allow you to navigate freely without using your smartphone, is certified meaning that it is water and dust resistance and comes with live training coach. The watch also comes with a heart-rate monitor and gives a comprehensive training report. One can also connect the device with Bluetooth headset and can listen to music. The device has a 4GB of internal storage and can store up to 400+ songs. The Watch 2 has a classical wristwatch design that integrates its smart features and sports functions.

On the battery front, the company boasts that the device can deliver up to 7 hours of heart rate monitoring, 2 days of normal usage and even last up to 21 days when putting into normal watch mode. The smartwatch runs on the latest Android Wear 2.0 and supports Android Pay.
