A new unannounced Gionee smartphone housing the model number – F5L, has been found listed on the Chinese certification website, TENAA. Apart from some image renders, the listing also carries major specifications of the device.
As per the TENAA listing, the Gionee F5L has a 5.3 inch HD display with 720×1280 pixels resolution and is powered by a 1.5 GHz octa-core processor. It comes with 4GB RAM with 32GB of internal storage, a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, an 8-megapixel front camera and a 4,000 mAh battery.
The phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with Gionee’s Amigo UI on top of it and the images reveal that it will come in White and Gold colour versions. Connectivity options of the device include dual SIM, 4G-LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, GPS/A-GPS and a Micro USB 2.0 port. The phone is 150 mm tall, 74.5 mm wide and 7.7 mm thin and it weighs 162 g, according to the TENAA listing.

Earlier this month, Gionee launchedthe Steel 2 smartphone in China. The Gionee Steel 2 has a full metal unibody design and features a 5-inch HD display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The smartphone is powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor, along with 3GB RAM, Mali-T720MP2 GPU. and both 16GB / 32GB internal storage variants can be further expandable up-to 128GB via microSD card. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system which is wrapped under Amigo UI 3.5. The smartphone also houses a fingerprint scanner which is embedded in its home button.
The Steel 2 gets its juice from a 4000mAh Li-Po battery, which claims to deliver up-to 28 hours of Talk time and up-to 528 hours of standby time. On the camera front, the smartphone offers an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with screen flash feature. The camera features also include Autofocus, Geo-tagging, digital zoom, Panorama, Touch focus, Self-timer, Face detection, Smile detection, HDR, Face Beauty, Voice capture, Gesture Shot, GIF Mode, Pic Notes, and Smart Scan.
Besides, the smartphone offers 4G VoLTE, Dual SIM (Dual Standby), WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), WiFi Direct, WiFi Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, a microUSB 2.0 port with OTG, GPS/A-GPS, Infrared port, Proximity, Accelerometer, Compass, and Ambient Light Sensor. The handset measures 144.3 x 70.5 x 8.6 mm and weighs at 160 g.
