BLU launches Studio Energy 2, Energy X smartphones with huge batteries

BLU Studio Energy 2 and Energy X come packed with huge 5,000 mAh and 4,000 mAh batteries respectively.

US-based BLU, which entered the Indian market earlier this month, has launched two phones under Energy series in the US market. The new BLU Studio Energy 2 and Energy X are priced at $179 and $109 respectively. Both of the handsets are already available for purchase from Amazon US. The highlights of Studio Energy 2 and Energy X are their huge batteries – 5,000 mAh and 4,000 mAh batteries respectively.

BLU Studio Energy 2 smartphone features a 5-inch Super AMOLED display with HD resolution (1280 x 720 pixels) and Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor clocked at 1.3GHz and 1.5 GB RAM. For Graphics it has a ARM Mali-T720. The smartphone comes with dual SIM and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system.

BLU Studio Energy 2 comes with an 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash. For selfies, it comes with a 5 megapixel front camera. It comes with 16 GB in-built storage which can be expanded by another 64GB through a micro SD card. It packs a 5,000 mAh battery that claims to provide 3 days of standard usage and 480 hours of standby time. The phone measures 144.7 x 71.2 x 10.18mm and weighs 176 grams.

On the other hand, Blu Energy X has a 5-inch with IPS LCD display with HD resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3. This Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system based smartphone offers dual SIM, 1.3GHz quad-core Mediatek MT6580 processor, ARM Mali-400 GPU and 1GB RAM.

The phone has 8 GB of built-in storage and a memory card slot that can hold a micro SD card of up to 64 GB. It has an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The smartphone is packed with 4000 mAh battery that claims to provide up to 3 days of standard use and over 600 hours of standby time. The phone measures 142 x 70 x 8.9 mm and weighs 154 grams.

Both the phones come with WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS/AGPS, GPRS/EDGE and Micro-USB connectivity options. However BLU Studio Energy 2 comes with 4G/LTE connectivity while the Blu Energy X comes only with 3G.

The Studio Energy 2 is available in White and Grey colour variants while BLU Studio Energy X comes in Midnight Grey and Luxury Gold color options.
