Apple has introduced another ‘not so cheap’ iPhone model in India. The new iPhone 5C (8 GB), which was widely expected to be an affordable model with price tag of around Rs 30,000, has bee announced for a hefty price of Rs 37,500 that makes it costlier than many flagship smartphones of other handset manufacturers.
Currently for less than Rs 40,000, you could purchase handsets like Sony Xperia Z1, HTC One, Sony Xperia Z Ultra, LG G2, and Nokia Lumia 1020. Curiously, even the 16 GB version of iPhone 5C can be brought for around Rs 38,000. Probably, the 8 GB version would hit the market for much less than its announced price tag, else it is better to go for the 16 GB version which costs just about Rs 1,000-Rs 2,000 more than the 8 GB version. The 32 GB version of the iPhone 5C is available for Rs 53,500.
The Apple iPhone 5C comes with a 4 inch touchscreen with 1136×540 pixels resolution. It has three axis gyro sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and even digital compass. It would be available in pink, white, yellow, blue, and green colours.
The colourful iPhone 5C has 1 GB RAM, 8 Megapixel rear camera, and a 1.2 megapixel front camera which is capable of recording high definition videos. Besides, the Apple iPhone 5C has 1.3 GHz dual core Apple A6 processor, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, micro USB 2.0, GPS with A-GPS, iOS7 operating system, and a Li-Ion battery capable of giving 9 hours of talktime both on 2G and3G networks.
The new version of Apple iPhone 5C is expected to be available in the market over the next few days.
