Xolo has issued the Android KitKat update for its Q1000 Opus smartphone. The update is available from Xolo’s website. Though as of now Xolo has not released the KitKat update for its other devices which are costlier than the Opus, we hope it would do so in near future.
The Android KitKat boasts a lot of features including better battery management, improved Google Now, Smarter caller ID, a new immersive mode that hides navigation bar while reading books, and lock screen art to name a few.
The Xolo Q1000 Opus, which was launched last November, comes with a 1.2 GHz Boradcom quad core Processor – the first handset to have the chipset. It has a 5 inch display, 1 GB RAM, 4 GB ROM, 32 GB expandable storage slot, 5 megapixel rear camera, VGA front camera, and a 2000 mAh battery. We have already reviewed the handset, which you can read here. We hope, post update, the device’s performance will improve significantly.
Procedure
The Android KitKat update for Xolo Q1000 is of 294 MB and once downloaded onto your computer, connect your phone to the PC. On the phone, pull down the notification bar and select USB connected and then turn on USB storage.
