Sony’s 6 inch display bearing Xperia T2 Ultra is now available in India for Rs 32,000. Though Sony has not made any formal announcement regarding the same, the e-retailer is offering the phone with company warranty. The phone is the second phone in the Ultra series of Sony; the first member was the Xperia Z Ultra.
Sony Xperia T2 Ultra comes with a 6 inch display with Triluminos and Mobile Bravia Engine 2. Triluminos display uses a blue LED backlight which gives the sharpest red and green colours. On the other hand, normal displays use white backlight which passes via RGB (Red, Green, Blue) filters to produce the colour but these filters cannot produce a wider colour range. The display has high definition resolution and said to support upto 10 finger touches.
The Xperia T2 Ultra is armed with the 1.4 GHz Qualcomm MSM8928 quad core processor which is backed up by 1 GB RAM and Adreno 305 GPU. The phone runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system. The T2 Ultra has 8 GB of internal storage and 32 GB of micro SD card slot.
In the Xperia T2 Ultra, Sony has fitted a 3000 Li-Ion battery which is non-removable and it claims to provide 24 hours of 3G talktime. It has a 13 megapixel rear camera with Sony Exmor RS for mobile image sensor. As per the company, it can record full HD videos. Besides, the camera has features like 16x digital zoom, HDR for both still and videos, image stabiliser, smile shutter etc. There is an LED flash besides the rear camera as well while in its front there is a 1.1 megapixel camera which too is said to be capable of recording HD videos.
The Sony Xperia T2 Ultra is also quite rich in terms of connectivity with options like Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, DLNA, micro USB 2.0, and NFC. It has GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS support for navigation as well. Remember, it has only one SIM slot; there is no information about its dual SIM variant.
