Chinese handset manufacturer, Xiaomi, which is expected to launch the much awaited Redmi Note 4 in India sometime next month, is now being rumoured to reportedly working on Redmi Note 4X as well. As per the revealed by famous tipster, Reviewer, from weibo, Redmi Note 4X will come equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 653 chipset along with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Other specficiations though haven't been revealed but we suspect it to be similar to that of the Redmi Note 4.
Qualcomm's Snapdragon 653 is one of the latest chipsets from the company and built on 14-nm process apart from boasting more power and battery efficiency capabilities. Further, It supports dual channel memory (which explains 4GB RAM), faster Adreno 510 GPU, X9 LTE, and Bluetooth v4.2.
Coming to the Redmi Note 4, the successor to Redmi Note 3 resembles it a lot in terms of the design. Further, the device comes with 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS LCD display. On the inside, the Redmi Note 4 is powered by a Deca-Core 2.1 GHz MediaTek Helio X20 chipset with 2GB RAM + 16GB internal storage or 3GB RAM + 64GB of internal storage coupled with Mali-T880 MP4 GPU. However, as Xiaomi is not allowed to sold MediaTek processor based devices in India, we expect the company to release the Note 4 a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. Interestingly, the company is rumoured to launch it with Snapdragon 625. Coming to the optics, the Redmi Note 4 features a 13-megapixel camera with dual LED (dual tone) flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls and selfies. Powering the entire device is a 4100 mAh with connectivity options such as built-in Wi-Fi, 4G-VoLTE, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, Infrared Blaster and microUSB 2.0.
As far as the pricing is concerned, the Redmi Note 4 was launched earlier this year in China for CNY 899 (approx. Rs 9,060) for the 2GB + 16GB variant or while the 3GB variant with 64GB internal storage was launched with a price tag of CNY 1199 (approx. 12,080). We don't know the exact Indian pricing of both Redmi note 4 and Redmo Note 4X but we expect it to range from Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000.
