Samsung today announced its fourth smartphone with Tizen operating system. The new handset, named as Samsung Z2, is priced at Rs 4,590 and it will be avaialble online via Paytm.com while offline it will be sold through Samsung’s retail stores from August 29 onwards.
The Samsung Z2 comes in three colours -red, black and gold. Buyers will also get a Reliance Jio SIM with the phone and will be eligible to avail Jio Preview offer that offers unlimited access to data and voice services for 90 days.
The Tizen Z2 has a 5 Megapixel rear camera and a VGA front camera. There is an LED flash in its rear panel as well. It has 1 GB of RAM, 1.5 Ghz quad core processor, 8GB of inbuilt storage and an expandable storage slot that can hold a micro SD card of up to 128 GB. The phone has OTG support as well. This smartphone has a 4 inch display that has WVGA (800×480 pixels) resolution.
Besides, the Samsung Z2 has a 1500 mAh battery that claims to offer up to 8 hours of 4G browsing. Like other Samsung phones, the Z2 also has Ultra Power Saving mode. It also comes with S Bike mode.
As you know, the phone has Tizen OS which Samsung is developing for quite some time. On the OS, Samsung says, “Its clutter free, intuitive interface makes it easy to understand and use. Customise your phone as per your mood with multiple themes and wallpapers. Customize Alarm and Keyboard and do more easily.”
Earlier, Samsung launched Samsung Z, Samsung Z1 and Samsung Z3 Tizen smartphones.
