Nokia 5320, Nokia RM-1490 Android powered smartphones spotted

Both the smartphones found listed on Geekbench website.

Nokia sold its mobile phone business to Microsoft in 2014 after suffering huge losses in previous years. Under the agreement, it was barred from bringing out Nokia brand phones and tablets till 2015 end. Thus it was widely expected to re-enter the mobile phone segment this year. Couple of alleged Nokia phones were also spotted earlier.

Now two new Nokia Android powered smartphones have been found listed on Geekbench website with model name Nokia 5320 and Nokia RM-1490. But surprisingly both the smartphones run on quite old Android versions. The Nokia 5320 runs on Android 4.4.4 Kitkat OS, where as Nokia RM-1490 runs on even more older version Android 4.2.2 JellyBean OS.

As per listing, the Nokia 5320 is powered by a 2.27 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, which is paired with 2GB of RAM. Further, the phone got 494 in single-core test and in muli-core test it received 1531.

On the other side, Nokia RM-1490 is powered by 500MHz AMD A8-5545M processor, which is clubbed with 2GB RAM. The phone got 972 in single-core test and in muli-core test it received 1663.

As per earlier reports, Nokia was expected to launch two Nokia phones with Android N. One of the Nokia phone has a 5.2 inch screen while another will come with 5.5 inch screen. However, both are AMOLED screens and have resolution. Further reports claimed that the phones will come with upcoming Android Nougat but with Nokia’s own Z-launcher (a customized interface).

Furthermore, the report claimed that the phones will come with metal design and will be water and dust resistant for which they will be certified. As per the report, the phones may use Snapdragon 820.
