Launch galore, 8 Smartphones launched this week

The week ended on a high note with the launch of much awaited OnePlus 3T smartphone.

This week we have seen total 8 smartphones launched in India and most of them falls in budget category. Except OnePlus 3T which comes in two variants – 64GB of internal storage and 128GB of internal storage priced at Rs 29,999 and Rs 34,999 respectively, which is understandable as it comes with high end specifications. Moreover, OnePlus 3T is the successor of OnePlus 3 which has got quite a good response from the consumers.

Post demonetisation we have seen people holding back on their spending, so it good we also have phones which are priced under Rs 10K to choose from.

OnePlus 3T

The OnePlus 3T comes in two variants – 64GB of internal storage, which is priced at Rs 29,999 and 128GB of internal storage for which one has to pay Rs 34,999. It features a 5.5 inches Full Optic-AMOLED display. Underneath the hood, the device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 clocked at 2.35GHz, along with Adreno 530 GPU. It comes with the 6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage options. The smartphone runs on 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system and is backed up by a 3400mAh battery.

On the camera front, the OnePlus 3T sports 16-megapixel sensor with f/2.0, phase detection autofocus, OIS, LED flash and 1.12 micron pixel size. The front camera too comes with 16-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calling. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, NFC, v4.2, USB Type-C, Dual SIM (Nano + Nano) capability and the devices also sport a fingerprint scanner, which is embedded on its home button.

Intex Aqua Classic 2

Intex Aqua Classic 2 is priced at Rs 4,600 and features a 5-inch FWVGA display with 854×480 pixels and is powered by a 1.2GHz Quad-Core processor, along with Mali400 MP2 graphic processor unit. It comes with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of inter-storage, which can be further expanded to 32 GB via micro SD card. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. The Aqua Classic 2 gets its strength from 2200mAh battery, which the claims to deliver up-to 6 hours of talk-time and up-to 200 hours of standby time.

On the camera front, the Aqua Classic 2 sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with Dual LED flash, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. Besides, the smartphone offers Dual SIM, 4G, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth 2.1, a microUSB port, G-Sensor, Proximity, and Light sensor. The handset measures 145.2 x 72.6 x 10.9 mm.

Lava X50+

This week Lava launched its affordable VoLTE smartphone, named Lava X50+, at Rs 9,199. The smartphone features a 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixel) IPS display thus offering a pixel density of 267 ppi. It is armed with a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and a 32GB micro SD card slot. The Lava X50+ runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. The phone has a 2800 mAh battery with Power Saver Mode.

The Lava X50+ has an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel wide-angle selfie camera on the front. Both the cameras come with LED flash light support. Coolpad Note 3S and Coolpad Mega 3

The Coolpad Note 3S is priced at Rs 9,999, where as Coolpad Mega 3 cost Rs 6,999. Both the smartphones will go on sale through Amazon India starting 7th December.

Coolpad Note 3S features a 5.5-inch HD Dual Curved glass display with of 720 x 1280 pixels. It is powered by a 1.36GHz octa-core (MSM8929) processor, along with 3GB RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. The smartphone also comes with an option to expand the storage up-to another 32 GB via micro SD card. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow which is wrapped under CoolUI 8.0 and is backed up by a 2500mAh battery, which claims to offer up-to 200 hours of standby time.

On the other hand, Coolpad Mega 3 features a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display and is powered by a 1.25GHz Quad-core MediaTek (MT6735) processor. It comes with 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal memory, and up-to 64GB of expandable storage via card. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow which is wrapped under CoolUI 8.0. The Mega 3 gets its strength from the 3050mAh battery, which claims to offer 200 hours of standby time.

The Coolpad Mega 3 offers an 8-megapixel camera setup on its back as well as on the front panel. Both the cameras comes with a LED flash light. Besides, the smartphone offers 4G VoLTE, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), a micro USB port, OTG support, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Accelerometer, Proximity, and Light sensor. The handset measures 154.4 x 76.8 x 8.35mm and weighs 170.5 grams. Further, the smartphone can accommodate triple SIM with triple-standby (4G+4G+4G). The smartphone comes in Gold, Grey and White colour options.

Lenovo K6 Power is priced at Rs 9,999 and comes in Dark gray, Gold and Silver colour options.It has a metal unibody design and features a 5-inch full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display. The K6 Power is powered by a Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, along with Adreno 505 GPU. It comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expandable memory up-to 128GB via microSD card. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system. The Lenovo’s Pure now support dual apps feature as well as long screenshots. It gets its juices from powerful 4000mAh battery, which claims to offer 649 hours of standby time. Celkon Diamond Ace and Celkon Diamond Pop

Week started with the launch of two affordable smartphone from Celkon, named as Diamond Ace & Diamond Pop, which is priced at Rs 4,999 and 4,699 respectively.

The Celkon Diamond Ace has a 5-inch FWVGA (854 x 480) IPS display and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Cortes A7 processor, which is paired with 1GB of RAM. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and comes packed with a 1800 mAh Lithium ion battery.

The Celkon Diamond Ace comes with 8GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded by upto 32GB via a micro SD card. The smartphone offers an 5-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash, while a 3.2-megapixel camera is in its front.

It is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and draws its power from a 1600 mAh battery.

The Celkon Diamond Pop offers a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 3.2-megapixel front camera. Besides, the smartphone has two SIM card slots, 4G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, micro USB 2.0 port, Gravity sensor and Proximity sensor as well. The handset measures 134*67*8.3mm and weighs 128 grams.
