Huawei is reportedly inviting invitest to various media organisations for en event on November 3 where the Chinese handset maker is now expected to launch the much speculated Huawei Mate 9. The press conference is scheduled to be held in Munich, Germany at 2pm on November 3.
Huawei has not mentioned the name of Mate 9 in the invite, but it’s very likely that this is the rumored Mate 9 as images and specifications of the smartphone are being leaked from various quarters lately.
As per recent leaked pictures, the phone has dual rear camera set up and a fingerprint sensor under the dual camera. The dual rear camera set up in the photo resembles another upcoming smartphone by Huawei, the Honor 6X. The dual camera setup in Mate 9 is expected to come with optical image stabilization (OIS), laser Autofocus and Analog zoom.
Huawei Mate 9 is expected to come in three variants. The first variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage will be priced at $510 The second variant will have 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage to be priced at $585, while the premium model will come with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of Internal Memory priced at $705. Huawei Mate 9 is expected to come in Mystic Silver, Titanium Grey, Ceramic White, Champagne Gold, Mocha Gold, Amber Grey and Glazing Black colors.
Huawei’s Mate 9 could be the first device to be powered by HiSilicon’s Kirin 960 SoC. The Kirin 960 Chipset is said to consist of four Cortex-A73 cores and four low-power Cortex-A53 cores and it will be clocked at 2.6 GHz. The chip is also expected to be manufactured using the 16nm process and there is ARM Mali T880 GPU for graphics.
As per earlier rumors, the Huawei Mate 9 has a 5.9-inch that has full HD (1920×1080 pixels) resolution, Octa-Core Huawei Kirin 960 processor, 4GB/6GB RAM, 64GB/128GB/256GB of internal storage and Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. Further, the phone is expected to come with 20-megapixel dual rear camera and dual tone LED flash and a 8-megapixel camera in its front for selfies. It will have connectivity features like 4G VoLTE, fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC and WiFi. The Mate 9 is expected to come with 4000 mAh battery.
