The Gionee P5W and the Micromax Canvas Juice 4 were both launched on the 1st of this month for Rs 6,499 and Rs 6,399 respectively. So let’s check out their USPs and other specifications.
Design
The Gionee P5W’s selling point is likely to be the wide variety of colours it is available in. The phone is available in white, black, blue, yellow, and red colours. It measures 143.3 x 72 x 8.9 mm and weighs 153 grams.
The Micromax Canvas Juice 4 comes with black colour front and back panels but has white colour side panels. This combination certainly makes it a bit unique.
Both these phones are decent looking, but the colourful Gionee P5W might grab a few more eyeballs.
Display
The Gionee P5W has a 5 inch HD IPS display, while the Micromax Canvas Juice 4 has a 5 inch display with a Resolution of 480 x 854 pixels.
The Gionee P5W is the clear winner, thanks to the higher resolution.
Processor & Memory
The Gionee P5W runs a quad-core Processor clocked at 1.3 GHz with 1 GB of RAM. Its Internal Memory stands at 16 GB to which you can add another 32 GB via a microSD card.
The Micromax Canvas Juice 4 is armed with a quad-core 1.3 GHz processor and 1 GB of RAM. The internal memory stands at 8 GB to which you can add another 32 GB via a micro SD card.
The Gionee P5W is the winner thanks to the extra 1 GB of RAM and the 8 GB of internal storage.
Software
Both the phones come with Android Lollipop operating system but the Gionee phone has the Amigo user interface.
Battery
The Gionee P5W has a 2500 mAh battery that can provide up to 22 hours of Talk time or 384 hours of talk time.
The Micromax Canvas Juice 4 has a 3000 mAh unit that claims to provide up to 11 hours of talk time or 385 hours of standby.
Neither has mentioned which network was used to evaluate the talk time and the standby time, but since the Micromax Canvas Juice 4 has a 500 mAh advantage, it is the winner of this round.
Camera
The Gionee P5W is equipped with a 5 Megapixel auto focus primary camera with flash, video recording, beautification, filters, panorama, and mood cards (which describe your mood). It offers a 2 megapixel selfie shooter.
The Micromax Canvas Juice 4 also has a 5 megapixel Autofocus rear camera and a 2 megapixel selfie shooter.
This round is draw, as the specs are alike. We will have to wait for a real world comparison to call a winner.
Connectivity
The Gionee P5W and the Micromax Canvas Juice 4 are both Dual-SIM 3G phones and offer GPS, Bluetooth, and WiFi.
Wrapping up
The Gionee P5W is the winner, simply because it has an HD display, more internal storage, and even comes in various colours. The Micromax Canvas Juice 4 has in its favour, the battery, and that is all. So in our view, the Gionee P5W seems a better phone than the Juice 4 on paper.
