In the last two months lot of Android based smartphones were launched in India. Some were good other were worth ignoring. Here we present to top five Android Smartphones which are available in the market in price brand of Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000.
The common element in all the five smartphones shortlisted is that they have a 13 megapixel rear camera and minimum 5 inch display screen.
Lenovo Vibe X2 is the first phone to feature Mediatek’s new 2 GHz MT6595m True8Core processor. It has a unique ‘multi-layered’ design which is seen in a smartphone for the first time. The multi-layers in the smartphone are of two types. First one is for the design element (three layers of side body that too in different colours) and the other one for functionality where are one can put a back cover on to the phone which act as a power bank or kickstand with hi-fi JBL audio. The beauty of these additional layers or back covers is that they gel very well with the design of the phone.
Lenovo Vibe X2 flaunts a 5-inch full HD (1920Ã—1080 pixels) display and on the memory front it has 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB internal memory. It runs on Android KitKat wrapped under VIBE UI 2.0 skin. It’s just 120 grams in weight and is 7.3 mm thick. It is powered by a 2300 mAh Li-Po non-removable battery.
The Vibe X2 has 13 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera. It comes with dual SIM (micro + Nano) with dual standby. It is also 4G compatible. Besides, the Lenovo Vibe X2 has Bluetooth 4.0, dual band WiFi, and micro USB 2.0 port. It doesn’t have an expandable memory storage.
Huawei Honor 6 comes with a 5 inch IPS display, sporting full HD resolution. Huawei has again managed to keep the form factor to the minimal; the Honor 6 measures 139.6 x 69.7 x 7.5 mm and weighs just 130 grams. The Honor 6 has th latest Android 4.4.2 operating system but it uses the Huawei Emotion 2.3 UI which has a completely different look than the native Android UI.
The Honor 6 has the HiSilicon Kirin 920 chipset that comprises an octa core processor, Mali T628 MP6 GPU and 3 GB RAM – powerful enough to run high end games as well as for multitasking. The phone has 16 GB storage which can be expanded to 64GB using micro SD card.
There is a 13 megapixel auto focus camera and two LED flash lights in the rear panel in the Honor 6 while a 5 megapixel camera is in its front. The Honor 6 has a single SIM slot and is compatible with 4G network. Other than that, the Honor 6 has Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, WiFi with Hotspot feature, DLNA, and a micro USB 2.0 port. It has a 3100 mAh Li-Po battery.
The HTC Desire 816G is a cheaper version of HTC’s Desire 816 phablet. It has a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and runs on Android 4.4 operating system.
On the processor front it has a 1.3GHz quad core processor, with is supported by 1GB RAM. Desire 816G has 8GB internal memory which can be expanded to 32 GB using micro SD card and 2,600mAh battery.
Other features of HTC Desire 816G are it has a dual nano SIM card slots, dual speakers, a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera.
Xolo Play 8X-1100 has 5 inch HD display and is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. The smartphone runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It is powered by an octa-core processor and it targeted at people who love to play games on mobiles.
The play Play 8X-1100 has 16GB internal storage and supports microSD cards with can accommodate 32GB card. On the back panel there is a 13 megapixel camera with Sony’s Exmor RS sensor, while a 5 megapixel front camera for selfie lovers. The dual sim is powered by a 2,100mAh Li-ion battery.
Among the smartphones shortlisted in this piece, Asus ZenFone 6 has the biggest display screen. It sports 6 inch display along with Intel Atom Z2580 dual-core processor clocked at 2GHz. It has a 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and provision for micro SD card that can support 64GB card.
Asus ZenFone 6 has a 13-megapixel rear camera with flash, and a 2-megapixel front camera. In India dual-SIM version of the ZenFone 6 is available in the market.
