Xiaomi is all set to launch a new Redmi device at an event scheduled for today, where the company is most likely to launch Xiaomi Redmi 4 smartphone. The Redmi 4 was first introduced in China in the month of November last year.
The company recently launched its super budget friendly – Redmi 4A (Rs 5,999) and the ever famous Redmi Note 4 in India. For the Redmi 4, we expect the company to price the device under Rs 9,999 as it will be an upgrade to last year’s Redmi 3S Prime. The smartphones will be available for purchase exclusively through Amazon.
As far as specifications of Chinese edition the Redmi 4 is concerned, it comes with a 5-inch 720p 2.5D curved display. On the inside, the Redmi 4 packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 Chipset with a clock speed of 1.4GHz. For comparison, the Redmi 3S Prime have a Snapdragon 430 chipset inside. Besides, it comes with 3GB of RAM along with 32GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 128GB via microSD. 2GB RAM + 16GB internal storage and 4GB of RAM + 32GB of internal storage variants are also speculated to launch in India.
For the camera, Xiaomi Redmi 4 sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash along with a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies and video chats. We expect Xiaomi Redmi 4 to improve on the camera as there is not a lot of difference in the internal specifications department. For the juice, the device is backed up by 4100 mAh battery. The device also comes with a fingerprint scanner and Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system out-of-the-box.
