Speculation had even put down a launch date of Dec 1st week for the device
For once, it looks like all the leaks and speculation has come completely undone . Xiaomi's much speculated smartphone, the smaller version of Mi Mix known as Mi Mix Nano might not be coming to market at all. Just yesterday, we saw a new image of Mi Mix Nano making rounds. But now, Xiaomi has actually felt it necessary to deny this completely, trying to put to rest all speculation.
The company's Marketing Director, Zang Zhiyuan says "there is no such product as Xiaomi Mi Mix Nano, this is a brand using "low level trick" to do sales". Intriguingly, his post on Chinese microblogging website, Weibo was later deleted. We have already seen many leaks and rumours of Xiaomi Mi Mix Nano till now. The yesterday's leak even revealed that the device is tipped to be launched in the first week of December.
Now expectations are that there might be a smaller Mi Mix in future but the device won't be called as the Mi Mix Nano for sure.
The Xiaomi Mi MiX Nano was rumoured to come with a 5.5-inch full HD display. It is also expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 821 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage instead of 4GB/6GB RAM and 128GB/256GB of internal storage in current Mi Mix.
